In order to answer this question I would like to introduce you the history of lithium battery.

From the 19th century to the early 20th century, scientists began researching batteries. In 1745, Dutch scientist Pieter van Musschenbroek invented the Leyden jar, marking the beginning of research on the nature and properties of electricity. In the 1790s, Volta proposed the famous Volta stack, which was the earliest prototype of a chemical battery.
